Technical paper builds are becoming increasingly popular with clients. So far, I’ve recreated a car wheel and a sailing boat. This time, the product I was asked to replicate was a trail shoe. When @alo, a premium lifestyle brand, approached me to reinterpret their latest design, I couldn’t say no. Designed with durable materials, an outsole engineered for traction, and protective elements within a seamless construction, the shoe became a complex study in material translation.

The project was developed in stages, where paper had to mimic rubber, textile, cord, and mesh to achieve a realistic finish.
Below, you can see the step-by-step process, along with the final video featured on their socials.
