This butterfly is a study in translation — turning the language of textiles into paper. I built it in layered grids to create depth, rhythm, and a softness where colours can blend delicately into one another. 50 × 65 cm. Available for commission and can be produced as an edition.
Each piece locks together like a puzzle, forming a surface that feels woven rather than cut. My love for embroidery and weaving guided every decision: the repetition, the structure, the quiet richness that comes from many small elements working as one. It’s paper behaving like fabric, texture created through patience, and colour held gently between layers.
