This bespoke cabinet was commissioned by the five-star Island Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong as the central feature of two newly renovated family suites. The brief called for a handcrafted sculptural installation that would introduce guests — particularly children — to the natural landscape of Hong Kong through a sense of wonder, delicacy, and storytelling, while maintaining the exceptional material standards expected within a luxury hospitality environment. The result is a cabinet structured as a series of four framed windows, each functioning as a miniature world. Together they form a visual narrative that moves from nature to city, inviting exploration and quiet discovery.

Across four windows, a magical journey moves from delicate insects and wildlife through dreamlike forests, ending in a poetic vision of Hong Kong’s city —a dialogue between urban architecture and nature.
Each element was meticulously handcrafted using paper and mixed materials, assembled with museum-level precision to achieve both durability and refinement. The cabinet balances playfulness with sophistication: a work designed to enchant children while remaining visually elegant within a five-star interior.
The project embodies a meeting point between art, design, and hospitality — a sculptural landscape that transforms the suite into an immersive environment, connecting guests to the spirit of Hong Kong through craftsmanship and imagination.
