Last year I was commissioned to create an illustration for Fast Company's new book ‘Innovation by design’. The book features some of the world’s most respected architects, designers and artists and the role of Design in providing innovation and influence in the world. My illustration was created for the McDonald’s story that focuses on the three pillars of their new design strategy: menu innovation, store renovation and an upgrade of the ordering experience. Since the implementation of this new strategy, many stores around the world have been redesigned and upgraded, changing the perception of the company and how users experience dining at their restaurant. For this illustration, I used a variety of paper shapes and textures that assimilated to construction materials and interior design mood-boards, with a classic French fries packaging in the middle, to recall the brand.
