For 2019 I wanted to bring some new subjects to my work. I have been recently thinking about sets, rather than just the single animalsl in paper. I want to create some little scenes where I can place the subject in a space, with elements that belong to their habitat.
I had a few weeks off work so and I decided to try some new shapes and forms with paper. It hasn't been easy at all! I have had a hard time thinking how I want these animals to look, which elements to add and what colours to use. So far I have created a fish and a frog. I am planning (if time allows) to bring some more new little scenes with a few different animals.

I often use illustration books as reference. This helps me to visualise the things I am working on easily. I love Owen Davis style and illustration books. I used Fanatical about frogs for reference.
